Xena's patented Alarm Disc Locks combine the strength and convenience of a traditional disc lock with a piercing alarm. The 2004-2005 range of Xena alarmed disc-locks is the strongest and most elegantly designed yet, winning top industry ratings including Sold Secure's Gold Standard in the UK, the highest rating from SRA in France and Holland's rigourous ART certification.

Double
Duty

Securing two-wheelers with a lock is compulsory. Unfortunately, it is not always enough to prevent theft. The new Bullett range multiplies U-lock protection by including a sophisticated alarm system.

FROM THE SIMPLEST LOCK to the most sophisticated alarm, from disc-locks to anti-theft tagging, there are many solutions to secure two-wheeled vehicles. But bike security can get very expensive if you follow insurer advice and combine more than one type of anti-theft device. To address this problem, XENA Security now offers a new alternative that combines the mechanical strength of a U-lock with the dissuasive impact of an alarm.

DOUBLE PROTECTION
The XENA Bullett U-Lock Alarm is a rare product, we can even say unique. At first glance it is a strong U-lock built in stainless steel and chrome, two materials known for their extreme strength and often used for high-quality locks. But the real innovation of the Bullett lies inside the steel, integrating a 110dB alarm (more than enough, given that a plane taking off is 130dB!). The electronic module containing the alarm, dubbed the Bullett, is interdependent with the lock body. 100% waterproof, it includes a shock sensor, a movement detector, alarm and battery compartment. Once removed from the lock body, the Bullett can easily be disassembled without the need for tools; once locked in place, it becomes a part of the lock and is completely sealed. We can also access the battery compartment containing 6 small batteries. Battery life is about a year according to the manufacturer, and the battery pack will cost you about five euros, available at any XENA dealer.

EASY TO USE
The XENA Bullett U-lock functions like any other U-lock. With some dexterity, the larger size models let you easily fasten your bike to a fixed point or ground anchor. You also have the choice to lock as a normal lock or with alarm. The alarm function is very effective; as soon as a movement is detected, the siren rings for 12 seconds. The movement detector is very sensitive so we advise you to put the wheel so that it does not move once the alarm is activated. In our view the only points which can be improved are the heavy weight of the lock (over six pounds) and its size, but that said different sizes are available. The Bullett is a good compromise to secure a bike without ruining your budget (105 euros for this model), and you can keep the same lock when you change vehicle, which is more difficult with a conventional alarm. And the cherry on the cake: the Bullett is SRA and NF approved, proof that its quality and strength is recognized by insurance companies.
